EXAM HACKS-Revision clothing line

Putting the Work in to Get Good Grades

We all know that getting good grades is something that should be at the top of our priority list, but sometimes it’s so easy to get wrapped up in our phones, tablets and computers that before you know it, oops it’s 11 pm and NONE of our studying is done! YIKES.

Even though we’re students growing up in a technological age, focusing on our grades is just as important as knowing what Kylie Jenner did on SnapChat today. I promise.

While it may be hard for some to focus, I’ve found that there are some really neat hacks to incorporate into your study time that will keep you interested and effectively help you retain the information that you need! Here’s how I stay on top of one of my hardest subjects…

Every day after school I study for about 1.5 hours and on the weekends, I study for at least 6 hours each day. Now, that may SEEM like a lot of time, but hear me out! We spend an average of 6 hours per day just staring at our phones/tablets/TVs anyway, so when you think about it, the time goes by pretty fast.

What I did was make what I call a ‘Math Line’ using a clothesline that I tacked up in my room. On it, I hung up different equations, formulas and terms that I needed to study. Since math isn’t my strongest subject, I pretty much forced it into my everyday life by having it right there in my face at all times! This allows me to retain the information without even having to do much work. Seeing it every day is enough to embed it into my brain for good. This doesn’t replace the need to study, of course, but it is a handy little trick that has been helping me remember all of those crazy formulas. If you see it, you can do it!

And even though I’m not great math yet, I’m not going to let it beat me. I will get a good grade in Math!
